If you are a developer and will be contributing to the codebase, or a manager that may want to be able to more quickly add/remove users, you will need a github.com account.

  1. Create a github.com account: this is free to do, and you can use your Georgia Tech address (and username, if available)
  2. Share the account username with Heidi Lowe, and she will give you access to the repo

The repo for the network application (wpvip.hosting.gatech.edu) is here, and is private (only visible to users that have been given a role for it): http://github.com/wpcomvip/gatech

Similar to Upsun and github.gatech.edu, you'll want to configure your local environment to be able to clone, pull, and push the repo using your github.com credentials. Changes are created as Pull Requests, which will have WP VIP's Code Analysis Bot run on them to look for issues.
